My gripe with Floyd was that opposition between 2003-2005 and that retirement to have everyone beat up on each other so he didn't have to fight them Prime.

THIS TOO. how many fights where floyd won was he considered the underdog??? truth is floyd didn't challenge himself which is why he was always favored (sometimes very highly) in fights. had floyd challenged himself by fighting a prime undefeated cotto, prime monster pacquiao, prime mosley, prime margarito, etc. etc.then you can say how great he was.

I thought it was a very close fight that could've gone either way. No harm in that. Not like he struggled with Joe Schmoe -- Lara is no slouch. So yeah, it was a good fight and a good win.
