Who came closer to taking the 0?

I say Maidana, then DLH, then PEDquiao in that order.

I didn't add Castillo to the poll because it's a general consensus that that was a robbery and even if it wasn't, I don't want this thread derailed on that fight as a topic, let's focus on the most recent 3 fights where it was close.

I wouldn't have had a problem with a draw for the first Maidana fight.

I scored it a narrow win for Maidana but I've only scored it once. A draw was probably the fairest result for that first fight, Maidana gave Floyd fits

Cotto did the best job IMHO. The score cards did not relect but, his game plan and executuin were on point. He just ran out of gas by round 8-9.

Cotto's jab was key. It negated Floyd's movement and trapped him. I thought Cotto did well tbh

DLH did the best job. Versus a prime Floyd. I remember being worried that DLH was gonna win the fight because he was winning all the early rounds, similar to Maidana1.


It's now apparent that Manny is too small for Floyd. Last night made that crystal clear. Couldn't hurt him.

Even Judah did better than Manny so I'm gonna have to say he came closer.

Maidana went to war. The only way to get close to beating Floyd is to come in and accept getting hit and maybe KO'd. You have to fight through his counter shots and let your hands go. Manny didn't have the same heart. He showed too much respect and fought a ****** fight. Maidana gets so much respect from me as he has been one of the few fighters to go in vs Mayweather and put himself on the line.

De La Hoya for sure. All Oscar had to do to win the decision was to have thrown 5 or 6 more jabs per round and he wins. He was easily winning the rounds in which he was throwing the jab, then in the last 4-5 rounds he hardly threw any at all.
