heres a show from back then and keep in mind no one thought ali was **** compared to other eras all agreed with cus d'amato it just shows people dont realize how people under play their own era and make gods of fighters from the past this is just a short clip of the show they went thru fighter after fighter and the point is the boxing public regualr public thought ali was just a product of a weak time and would get crushed by all the legends. it just shows that people under appreciate current athletes even more so ones that people dont like cause lets not forget not many people liked ali
That's why i like track and field, because once you record your time, no one takes it from you. Usain Bolt is the greatest sprinter ever and who can dispute it, because his record time stands the test.

he's only faster because the shoes in the 60's weren't as good as the ones now hurr durrrr
Yes, mayweather is invincible now. All he has to do is do JUST enough to BARELY edge a round and he's already won. I can't wait till he's out of the sport. His last ppv will tank and we can actually get some REAL fighters in boxing.

Yup just enough. More punches thrown, and nearly double landed.
they say that about every era. i dont think people realize people bashed ali and laughed at him told him his era ****** and bad mouthed him for saying he was better then joe louis jack johnson etc no way is this the worst era in boxing i aint buying that crap
It's not good, we got some great fighters but it's hard to argue it's not a weak era as a whole.
Based on what, less US fighters at the top? This is the first era when World Champion actually means the Champion Of The Whole World. (At least it would if there were undisputed champions, but I think you get the point.)
Titles aren't the only thing that establishes greatness. Charlie Burley is a prime example.
B..b..b..but if Manny won it would have been a strong era and you would immediately crown him TBE right? Please. Take a little vacation from boxing bud.
You're butthurt and defensive. I don't care for Floyd or Pac.
The heavyweight division might be in it's weakest era but in the lower weight classes Floyd has had to face some all-time greats and Hall of Famers (like Castillo, Marquez, Pacquiao to name just a few.)
It's good, but not great. As a whole Marquez is better at lower weights, as would be Pacman and Erik Morales etc.
