He said he thought he won. If this is truly what he believes, and if this is truly what Roach and Arum believe then there is no need to bring up his shoulder affecting his performance. It is acknowledgement that he actually believes he performed poorly and lost the fight.

I was wondering why pacquiao had absolutely no right hand and also let mayweather go long stretches without trying to even force some action. At first I thought they just had a horrible gameplam but the shoulder injury makes perfect sense. Mayweather didn't beat a healthy pacquiao. Its just like when cotto beat Sergio Martinez, its a tarnished win

It's not exactly an excuse when the commission acknowledged he did request a shot BEFORE the fight. He was injured.

However, pac saying he thought he won, makes him look bad.

Pac did look off and he wasn't throwing much rights. This is reflected in his low output.
