  • Comments Thread For: Kell Brook Targets Mayweather-Pacquiao Unification

Kell Brook has set his sights on a welterweight unification bout against the winner of Saturday night's long-anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

After years of wrangling, the sport's two biggest names will finally get in the ring in Las Vegas where Mayweather's WBA and WBC straps will be on the line alongside Pacquiao's WBO belt.

Brook holds the IBF version of the welterweight title and, provided he successfully defends that against domestic rival Frankie Gavin later this month, the Sheffield fighter would relish a shot at unifying the division.

Would be hilarious if Brook got the fight over Khan.

I believe Brook is a guy who does want to prove himself as the best.

You can't knock his efforts for trying to get Khan in the ring this summer but Khan ran a mile. He got his mandatory out of the way then wanted to fight the guy plenty of people (not me) believe is the next best guy at WW after Floyd and Manny.

Fair enough Brooks next fight isn't a great one but it's not his fault Amir won't fight. I believe this guy won't shy away from any good challenge now. He seems confident, seems his bad injury days from the past 2-3 years are behind him and he's ready to go.

He should and it would be funny but it would always but absolutely justified. He is a WW world champion, won it in the opponents backyard. Khan shouldn't get it over him when Khan ran a mile and wouldn't get anywhere near a ring with him and. Khan is essentially trying to coast his way into a huge payday without fighting a top WW.

No matter if you think Porter is overrated, he was hyped before Kell beat him. Just go back to threads on this forum, people were tipping Porter to KO Floyd if they fought hahaha.

Anyway, Brook loses to both Floyd and Manny. Although he has good timing and power, i think he is just too orthodox for Floyd and doesn't pose anything Floyd hasn't dealt with without getting out of first gear. Manny would overwhelm him.

Why shouldn't he , he's world welter champion , Khan's not even a serious welter contender and still really fighting light welters a true wanker.
Thank god sky have been wise enough to keep the rat away from the big fight.

Brook VS the winner makes perfect sense & would rub Khan's nose right in the pig-****e!

I used to be a huge fan of this guy, but he wants to stay domestic like a housewife. The best fights are in America.

How is beating Frankie Gavin supposed to get you a Mayweather shot

as of now Keith Thurman is Floyd's most likely September opponent
