I'm not reshaping history, and I believe that I alluded to my great respect for the man. I'm just being realistic about him. I'm sorry if my assessment of the facts doesn't fit your narrative, but that doesn't make me ignorant. I just have a different opinion than you. So stop being a ho about it. No see? you want FACTS? get off your duff go to youtube/utube and WATCH there is video of Louis and Ali together...you see that type of evidence constitutes a FACT. You can watch for yourself and then? you will have FACTUAL insight into the relationship between these men.

As far as your other insinuations, fine have any opinion you must but let me ask you a question: Cossell was not endearing by any stretch. My folks used to curse him during the fights...ever wonder why cosell and Ali had a friendship? Again, FACTS....they are relevant here and an opinion based on them shows insight and not ignorance. but if you want to be an ignoramus well many do, knock yourself out.

oh and BTW before you laude those wonderful report of Ali being self serving, ever protested anything in your life? I remember being on my mother's back as a little wee, as we were jeered for going to central park and protesting the Vietnam War. Ali took a courageous stand and it sticks in my craw when the younger generation forgets the sacrifice that generation made to stop that war....Ali was a part of those efforts just remember that, nothing self serving about it, only the best years of his career lost.

Yeah there are videos of them (Ali and Louis) together. Ali still talked **** about him more than once. Sorry that this fact makes you uncomfortable. You apparently went from your mothers back to some high horse. My people fought when there numbers were called; some died, some were ****ed up for life. THAT'S SACRIFICE. Sacrifice is dying, being maimed, being taken POW, PTSD, life-long disability, agent orange disease, etc. Sacrifice isn't getting "jeered" at protests. I do apologize for name-calling, I shouldn't have. But please don't lecture me about courage or sacrifice.

BTW, I love Ali, he was an artist, athlete, entertainer, and social icon rolled into one. I agree with you that he broke the mold. I just see him as a human, and won't be brainwashed into deifying him.
