Either way, if Lucien Bute got his MoJo back in that last round with Pascal, Chavez could be in serious trouble !!!

This is a big name who might seem safe on the surface, but Bute is the larger man (Naturally bigger if Chavez laid off the burgers.) and might think Chavez can't hurt him.... That might give Bute the confidence to go after him full guns blazing.....
This is another big risk for Chavez Jr, he should continue asking smaller fighters to add weight.. He needs a confidence fight, not a potential war....
Otherwise what's left of his career might truely be largely over.
No way in hell he will fight Bute, it would be a massacre. They said Broner would fight Rances Barthelomy but then he is now rumoured to be fighting a bum (in a LV prison cell). Bute is the rumour but J'Leon Love will be the reality.

There's no way he should, but somehow Chavez's ego keeps telling him lies that he believes.... So it would surprise me, not shock me.... For his sake, he needs to listen to his Papa !

He doesn't belong at 175 at all. I hope he mentally recovers eventually because he was a force to be reckoned with at 168, he just got caught big by Froch (people tend to forget the moments of success he had against Froch)

Ward-Bute would be such an intriguing match up, or at least would have been. Ward has nowhere near the power Froch has, and Bute is a pretty decent boxer himself
Maybe because it was nothing noteworthy and he got beat the **** up.

Once Chavez Jr. went from fighting frequently to 1-2 times per year, he started to digress. He needs to get back to fighting relatively frequently, fight a few soft opponents and then step up against someone like Bute. Denis Grachev would be a much better opponent coming back from a KO loss than Bute - a guy who was in p4p rankings a few years ago

If Froch didn't have an absolute cast iron jaw, it would have been noteworthy. Bute landed some nasty straight lefts

Froch was just all wrong for him and probably always will be

Meh, Bute's broken. I think Chavez would beat him, but it's not a sure thing. Decent fight.

Chavez needs to seriously make amends with his fanbase after that last showing. Probably should take some time off and re-evaluate how dedicated he really is to his craft
