I'm going with a slight edge for Mayweather in this fight which I think will be close, maybe a draw. I'm hoping it is a draw and both fighters maintain their position as the best, equally - they both have worked harder to get there than anyone else.

Two simple goals - Floyd's goal is to reduce Pac's work rate and Pac's goal is to penetrate Floyd's defense often.....that is why this fight is so intriguing!

I think Pac neutralizes Floyd's reach by using footwork and exposing Floyd's defense.

Remember that Floyd lunges with his jab too. Especially his favorite jab to the body. Pac can take advantage of that if Floyd tries to keep him at arm's length. He'll turn Floyd and make him have to adjust his shell.

The biggest factor will be how quickly Floyd can adjust to Pac's timing. Floyd said he doesn't watch video of Pac so he's going to try and adjust to it on the fly. I think he will be caught by Pac's very awkward timing for the first 4 rounds at least and that's when Pacquiao has to really go to work. If Floyd makes the adjustment to Pac's timing then it will be hard for Pac to close the gap.

Pac has a short window where I think he will land at will while Floyd is still adjusting to the speed, southpaw stance, and timing that all of Pac's previous opponents have said is very difficult to adjust to. I know Floyd can do it, but how long will it take and will it be too late? There are a lot of unknowns in this fight which make it a compelling fight.

lol. I thought the same when I read this.

I also don't believe it just comes back. It was something he had before going all bible happy. I think the way he's taken to his religious findings has taken a piece of aggression out of him that he would ignite before the fights.

That's a load of horse crap. I totally believe he watches tapes, and probably ordered Pac's entire fight history on Blu Ray. There is no way he would walk into this fight blind.

In fact I believe he's watched fights for every single opponent he's fought and just feeds his believers that speech to make him look greater. At the highest level, you'd be a fool to not study your opponent and do your homework before taking him on.

Killer instinct means jack **** in this sport. Only fighter I think ever really had it was Mike Tyson, but that's because Mike was a psycho who probably really did wanted to kill his opponent.

What most people think of when they think of killer instinct is relentlessness. Never stopping to let the other guy have a moment to catch their breath. Continuously hurting them until they collapse or give up.

Pac has lost that since the Cotto fight where he legitimately looked like he cared about Cotto's well being. I think it has a lot to do with his beliefs outside of the ring affecting him inside of it.

I believe him when he says it. He's been doing things the same way for 30+ years and it's become a ritual that he is unwilling to change.

I have no doubt his team watches video and tries to analyze his opponents. I don't think Floyd does, he just listens to his uncle or his dad's advice on particular things he should do. Adjusting to his opponent based solely on his experience with them in the ring seems like a process that Floyd believes and relies on. He thinks that watching video of their previous bouts will give him preconceptions about a fighter that will mislead and prevent him from adjusting quickly.

He's seen Pac fight before, but I really doubt he's in the video room studying Pac's fights for hours. For Floyd, not watching his opponent before they meet in the ring is a mental thing that he believes gives him an edge.

Does PAC mean his PEDs are back?this time undetected by vada etc.,
Other than that, his killer instinct will be still be lingering in the ring when Floyd leaves the ring 48-0. What is killer instinct? Some magic potion?

I don't. I think it's too much hocus pocus for a fighter to believe he doesn't need to study his opponent. I understand you don't want to settle on 1 plan based off 1 style your opponent constantly does in his fights, but you can pick up on little habits and situations that the guy doesn't do well in.

He may have his trainers watch videos, but it wouldn't hurt for the fighter to as well. Pac watched some vid on Oscar and it looked like he knew everything about Oscar as if he was just a shadow in there that could predict Oscar's movements and he couldn't be touched.
