Yeah, I don't think this is about Mike trying to garner media attention or him being jealous of Mayweather. He's an avid student of boxing, and has studied it's history. Also, Ali is his idol, and Mayweather has no business saying he is greater than him. Mike was asked to respond to Mayweather's claim, and he made his position quite clear.

Also, Mike was genuinely angry at that Canadian reporter for good reason, media attention be damned. He was there to promote his one man show, and he met the mayor, who was running for re-election. For the reporter to not only sabotage Mike's promotional efforts, but to also use his past to suggest the mayor being associated with him could hurt his re-election chances, was low. And Mike has always maintained his innocence about the **** conviction.

Sabotage promotional efforts-interesting choice of words. One could argue Tyson is doing same thing here.

Why does it matter if Floyd thinks he is better than Ali? There are a number of very respected fighters, historians, journalists etc that do not think Ali is the best. Foreman said he thought Floyd was better than Ali. Arum once said same.

What kills me about these guys riding with Tyson, is they'll crucify Floyd, but won't do the same for Tyson. Imagine if Floyd said some of the crazy stuff Tyson said in the past. And Tyson is adored! Don't get me wrong, I respect Tyson as the fighter he was and he's one of my all-time favorite heavyweights to watch, but he's probably the last person that should criticize Floyd.

TYson is really not much different than Floyd. He was the top earner. He had beef with Merchant. He had out of the ring problems.

Imagine what NSB denizens would have said when he gave away his Bentley or got the Tigers?

Mike can say whatever he wishes, but lets hope he takes it like a man when things are said about him.

Man please. You don't know how Floyd is in his family life. His daughter seems to adore the heck out of him. That one thing with his son I'll give you that, but Tyson ain't some saint in comparison. Tyson once said, "I want to eat his children." When has Floyd EVER been disrespectful of his opponents family? And most of his kids are teenagers, they probably don't care if he takes them to school at this point. He's a busy man which they are probably aware of. I doubt someone like, say, Brad Pitt or Lebron James takes their kids to school.

He relies on his skills and body to make money. You have seen that when he is in public he gets taunted. Why even risk it. When he is retired from boxing he will not need so much security.

I wasn't talking about in public...and even in public, there are many times where security isn't needed. Did pacquaio have body guards at the basketball game? no. He's not the president, he's not the pope, and he's not bin laden...the security is not about his physical safety..I think we can all see that.
