This guy had to be forced into this fight wether he wins is on him but his antics for media attention has struck a nerve with the wrong people and I'm glad Mike Tyson pulled his card !

Also, it seems absurd you should talk about another ex-fighter being media savvy, knowing you love Floyd so much, the no.1 media whore in the world. Floyd would probably die should he get no media attention one day, lol.
I'll be here win or lose.

Why wouldn't I be talking about Tyson being media savvy given this? The only reason people are discussing it is because he referenced Floyd.

What does being a media whore have to do with being media savvy?

As others point out, he is probably pissed about the comments made by Floyd that he is greater than Ali. Doesn't really have anything to do with media savvy, he just expresses his emotions.

I think Tyson meant that Mayweather is not a beloved fighter who has faced and overcome great challenges in his career, to become great himself. Instead, he's a controversial, diva-like little man, who has to raise himself up in his own mind, because everyone isn't convinced that he's so great.

            • The great thing about Tyson, he wouldn't be afraid to tell that to Floyd in his face either. What Floyd gonna do about it? That's right. Cower like a lil B, lol.

The funny thing about the TBE thing is that only Jr. and his cronies believe that. Not a boxing writer or true fan of the sport would think twice about believing any of that garbage.

                • Of course Floyd's not TBE. I don't even think Floyd believes that.

Both Manny and Floyd are two of the best ever though. The winner of this fight has a place in the Top 25 all time IMO.

                  • Actually, wasn't it Pacquiao who was put on the front cover of The Ring magazine with the question stating, The Greatest Ever?

Now we aren't stating he is, but AT LEAST there was a publication that actually mentioned it and took time to think about it. Of course this was before the KO loss and decision loss to Bradley, but he was mentioned at a time.

                    Jr. never got that.

I think he's saying the greatest fighter of all time should be loved and respected by the people, not afraid of them.

It's safe to say that times have changed, and that realistically there would be danger in taking his kids to school personally.

I guess historically, greatness in boxing isn't measured in monetary gain, PPV numbers or a perfect record.

If he wasn't so caught up in these aspects of the sport, would 'the people' interested in his lifestyle and possible exploitative opportunities?
