  • Comments Thread For: Klitschko-Fury Ordered, 60-Day Negotiation Begins May 5

World heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is all but confirmed to next face brash unbeaten challenger Tyson Fury. The fight has formally been ordered by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and World Boxing Associations (WBA), with a 60-day negotiations period due to begin Tuesday, May 5.

In the event that an agreement cannot be reached between the two camps, the bout will then be subject to a purse bid hearing.

Klitschko (64-3, 53KOs) is coming off of a 12-round points win over unbeaten American contender Bryant Jennings on April 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The bout was Klitschko’s first stateside appearance in more than seven years.

Sign me up all day, every day, any day!!!

I can't wait for this one. Now that Wlad is slowing down, this is an even matchup.

Klit fans trying to make Fury look good so when Grabimir wins, they will say it's a great win.

Fury is one of the worst contenders in Heavyweight history.

I gotta say I'm surprised Fury made it this far. I thought that lumbering oaf was gonna meet his match on the domestic scene like that other British bum David Price did. Good for him. Now you get mauled by the lion.

Fury got lucky he didn't have to face Haye, he would of been destroyed

I really hope Wlad fights Wilder next, but this is a good fight.

Exactly and then we'd have Klitlickers worried sick right now that Grabimir is about to be bashed up by Haye.

Worried sick?? Did you miss the fact that Wlad beat Haye rather easily almost four years ago? And not all Wlad fans think much of Fury, I know I don't.

Haye had a broken toe so he wasn't at his best obv. Haye at 95% would destroy Wlad within 4 rounds max.

Fury must be the luckiest fighter to ever pull on a pair of gloves.

If I was Wlad, I'd be a little concerned about that.
