  • Comments Thread For: Braehmer-Cleverly Deal Reached For WBA Title Clash

As previously reported, WBA 'regular' light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer (46-2, 34 KOs) will fight again on September 5th in Germany. The information was confirmed by his promoter Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event, who handle the boxer.

It is very likely, that the same day heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev (20-1, 11 KOs) will come back to the ring as well. Everything depends on his shape. It would be the first fight for Pulev since last year's knockout defeat at the hands of WBA/IBO/WBO/IBF heavyweight champion.

I don't understand why Braehmer pulled out of the first fight I actually think he probably beats Cleverly and still do.
Its good its back on, do or die for Cleverly presuming he can still make LHW which I have my doubts about.

Cleverly has no business fighting for a title in the light heavy divison, amd neither does Braehmer for that matter, both are ****.

Going off of Cleverly's last performance versus Bellew he looked done, completely shot. I know he is dropping down a weight, yet off of previous displays Braehmer looks better in every department. If the Brits are prepared to pay ppv for this fight they should stage it in the UK and make a replay of it in Germany too. That way both of these guys can retire and we can be rid of both of them.

This isn't too bad a match up really if it was for the EBU title & not the WBA #2 spot!

yeah braehmer pulled out of the cleverly fight that was supposed to be on the same card ad degale vs groves, why the hell didnt warren sue him? he normally does. Cleverly got the vacant belt against pitorski who some say rocked cleverly in that fight.

Wouldn't be surprised if Hearn tried it though.
