that just goes to show you that a lot of posters on here do a lot of talking, and a lot less research on the sport they supposedly love.

          are you serious????

Burley was a natural welterweight and he beat middleweights and even lightheavyweights

He would hold every advantage of AB.....skill, size, reach, power, defense, chin.....there is levels to this

dude went through the same black murderer's row that Sugar Ray Robinson's handlers avoided, except for a shot to bits Aaron"Tiger"Wade

Always studying and learning about Pep, Burley, Charles, Robinson, and Joe Gans just to namea few...you can still see their influences on the sport of boxing even now which is AMAZING to me!

People complain about certain boxing styles because they IGNORANT and have no clue what they're watching!

I think in all Boxing Gyms these young kids should have to sit down and watch film on these legends and learn the history of boxing before even allowing them to put on a pair on boxing Gloves.

Your knowledge of boxing shouldn't start and end at Mayweather vs Pacquiao

When I would go to the gym I would look up at all the fight posters.

              Marciano vs Charles
              Ali vs Frazier
              Marciano vs Louis
              Walcott vs Charles

I just had to figure out who some of these guys were.

I didn't think much of either of them even if Burley is a legend. Maybe he was good in his day but I think modern fighters like Pacquiao, Mayweather, Trinidad Hearns Leonard, Monzon, Hagler, Napoles and other good modern fighters would easily beat him. Much of the fight was spent in a clinch with both men holding and hitting. Neither man had good footwork and at times they looked clumsy. I saw no combination punching, only one or two punches at a time. Neither man had much variety in their punches and mostly threw the same two or three punches over and over again. I saw way to many telegraphed punches. I saw way to many incorrectly thrown, wide, looping punches and sometimes leaping punches. At times they looked like amateurs in need of a good trainer. I don't think Ray Robinson had any reason to fear Burley. From what I have seen of Robinson he was much better than Burley.

Are you a trainer or a pro/am boxer?

Critique the modern guys the same way...I'll start first

Leonard was a sucker for a straight right( extremely low left) n often looped his own....he threw a lot of arm Punches and when he sat down on his shots he threw them wide and ****ed back
