I wanted Jennings to win, and I'm glad he did ok in the fight, he needs some seasoning, learn to use a jab etc. But I agree with Wlad 100%, no need for Rematch.

Wlad has too much experience for Jennings right now. I must say Wlad's age appears to be catching up to him just a little, looked vulnerable at times. I said Wlad would walk through Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder........I don't feel that way anymore.

I see both of those guys being competitive against Wlad, and I would be surprised if 1 of them didn't dethrone Wlad. Anyways back to Jennings, I'm still a fan and he's still my favorite heavyweight, I think he can only get better.

Jennings definitely has the mindset of a great fighter imo.

Cong**** to Wlad, I like him too. :ANYWORD:

        He's right.

Why would they rematch when Wlad won every round and it was a boring fight?

Wlad said the other day that Fury was also WBA mandatory, but funnily enough, Jennings is actually the highest ranked (other than Chagaev of course).

The list is pretty grim with top spots filled by guys like Jennings, Oquendo, Browne and Briggs before actual challengers Povetkin and Fury appear.

If Browne could somehow overcome Chagaev I'd be in favor of him having a title shot, their is no way he wins on points against Ruslan though, I don't see him stopping the Uzbek either.

Hopefully Ortiz comes back and defeats Chagaev to throw things up a little. Ortiz has the size and as much experience as Fury, why not. Although I fear it would be like a Pulev vs Ustinov fight for Ortiz against the champ.

Ortiz could be in a good position to challenge upon Wlad defeating Fury then Wilder, it would also give more time for Joshua and Parker to marinate.

I also have to say that Wlad's stock went up a couple of points in my book: he was forced to not win by laying his gigantic body over the back of his opponent til said opponent is exhausted and then KOing him with a giant 1-2 and he won by huge UD anyway and then gave props after. Major props to him. Have always said that the only thing I don't like about Wlad is the way he fights. With the help of good reffing, that could change.
I really didn't much care who won, but that there was a good fight. And Jennings definitely tested Klit more than he'd been tested in years. As for 'major props', not sure which fight you watched. Wlad grabbed and leaned on Jennings a bunch, and the ref should have taken more than 1 point one time. That's the joke of the event. Just because he grabbed and leaned LESS than he normally has done for the last umpteen fights, doesn't not give him 'major props'. What b.s.

If Wilder and Fury didn't exist, and the IBF didn't have a borderline ****** eliminator with Glazkov and Cunningham a rematch would be really fine and probably doable. But he's got too much coming up and he's too old to not just go for unification and take mandos until he retires or someone/thing retires him.

I think there's a difference between leaning on a guy and a guy coming in with his head down. Wlad was very careful not to use his leaning tactic because he knew the ref wasn't having it. Jennings just came in with his head low a lot and Wlad controlled it. There wasn't any of the kind of thing he was doing to Povetkin there from my view. He knew he was on thin ice and didn't do it.

Definitely no need for an immediate rematch. Down the line, if Jennings picks up a couple good wins? Maybe. That fight did Jennings a lot of good. He did well, and picked up experience he couldn't get anywhere else.
