another thing people dont factor in here is Ali's will to win. The guys Wlad fights give up at some point. You can see it in their eyes and body language. They lose the will to win and go like a lamb to the slaughter.

I'm shaking my head in disbelief reading this thread. 90% of comments ITT cannot, cannot be real. If they are, then it's good trolling.

And he makes an intriguing point, Ali rarely knocked out legit heavyweights (only like 7) and I doubt he'd be able to KO Wlad.

Wlad is too powerful and strong, if a Dereck Chisora caliber fighter could give him hell imagine what Wlad would do.
          lol at referencing that blog

Ali don't need to KO Wlad in order to beat him. He could quite comfortably box and move him for 12 or 15 rounds making Wlad miss and just pop him with the jab and move from side to side.

Wlad has never really faced many who didn't just stand in front of him with their chins in the air - because that's how heavyweights fight nowadays.

When has he faced someone who's a hard, quick puncher with head movement, balls and skills? Never is when. the guys that are fighting nowadays aren't fighting like they used to. They stick out a lazy jab and stand in the middle of the ring like 1890s. And someone like Elroy will tell you they are better because they are heavier.

People who don't know much about boxing or skills think that because you can knock out a guy with no skills whatsoever like Pulev who's feet are planted in cement, then you can beat anyone.

You know who beat all the styles in the book? Ali. He fought them all, big and small, boxers and punchers.

Where's the Joe Frazier on Wlad's resume? Or George Foreman or Sonny Liston? I don't see them. His best wins are guys like Povetkin and Haye, who honestly, are good. But they aren't that good. Imagine Haye turn up against George Foreman

          That would be a quickie.

Muhammad Ali would look like a knockout artist against today's heavyweights.

              - At heavyweight there's really never anybody in the top 10 that he would be able to beat with any kind of credibility to be there.

              - There is the chance for him to bum his way to the top ten of course but todays bums are significantly tougher than the bums that Ali fought so it's very difficult to imagine Ali ever making an apperarance on a world stage.

              - Muhammad Ali's main income today would come from marketing himself as a sparring partner for real HW's so they might become accustomed to smaller faster opponents in preparation for a fight with David Haye or something like that.

He would not just be a champion, but he would also help his contemporary fellows to grow their legacy.
Part of Frazier, Norton and Foreman's greatness is attributed to Ali himself.

Ali is bigger than boxing, he is the greatest sportsman in the 20th century. regardless of the weight class he would fight in, he would be the number.1 star and he would attract millions to the sport, it's about personality and charisma. He made over a billion person to watch his fights in 70s, I can't imagine what he would achieve in the age of internet.
