What's all this "has the right" nonsense you're talking about? Hearn can do what he likes. It doesn't matter who's the champion. If Frampton wants a guaranteed purse somebody has put up the money. Hearn's perfectly entitled to make Frampton any offer he likes. If Frampton feels he can better offer elsewhere he should go after that, but who else is making him a 1.5 mill offer?

Just because he can't make 1.5million elsewhere doesn't make it a good offer for what the fight is worth. That offer means that Matchroom gets to keep all of the revenue from the fight in terms of the gate and PPV sales which will sell based on Frampton's popularity, not Quigg's - how can you not understand that?

For ticket sales to happen there has to be a fight, but there's no fight without money. For a guaranteed purse there has to be financial backing. The promoter always calls the shots because they pay for the promotion and take the financial risk. I know that's not how it is in Dirk's Utopia, but back in the real world that's how it works and how it has always worked.
