Stop acting smart. You are not!
Learn before you spew nonsense. Here is the legal precedent that established the case law regarding legal remedy so you can go seppuku yourself:
Originally posted by Alabama Power Co. v. Ickes & Parker v Griswoldwithout an injury in this sense (damnum absque injuria), does not lay the foundation of an action; because, if the act complained of does not violate any of his legal rights, it is obvious, that he has no cause to complain. ... Want of right and want of remedy are justly said to be reciprocal. Where therefore there has been a violation of a right, the person injured is entitled to an action.' Parker v. Griswold, 17 Conn. 288, 302, 303, 42 Am.Dec. 739. The converse is equally true, that where, although there is damage, there is no violation of a right no action can be maintained.
Furthermore if I have to prove myself unequivocally then when he made his initial point he should have supported his claims with FACTS outlining that ALL Mayweather fans are all "angry and insecure." I didn't see you attacking him for baseless claim but I did see you white knighting him when I called him for this ****** comment.
In summary:
Of course I can't prove slander on a forum in a court of law in this instance, there is literally no damage that can be caused in a quantifiable amount for a court of law to rule in my favor. That doesn't mean he didn't slander Mayweather fans however; and it does mean that he failed to articulate himself correctly as he is back tracking and trying to blame me for his lack of proper diction.
You guys really know how to derail an argument, you saw me use the word slander and ignored the REAL POINTS I made (about how FloydvsPac should probably stop judging fighters based on persona rather than skill), and turned this into a debate about legal remedy. Even in that instance you're incorrect & over matched.Last edited by Espy; 04-26-2015, 11:22 AM.

he just cited those Floyd fans who posted in this thread before him or some Floyd fans who post here on NSB that he has seen before, not all Floyd fans in general.Last edited by Rath; 04-26-2015, 12:23 PM.

Originally posted by floydvspacThat persona probably would've appealed to me when was 16 and young, vain and rebellious. He appeals to the angry and insecure. They live vicariously through him.
Due to a lack of quantifying diction the literal translation to his statement is all Mayweather fans are angry and insecure. If one were to use context clues in regards to the post one would deduce that he intended the statement to mean most Mayweather fans are like this. There was nothing in his post to indicate that his statement was limited to the people who had posted before him in this thread.
Either way, the majority of Mayweather fans are not angry and insecure. His statement was false. If his statement was false why are you white knighting him?
The single intent of his post was to paint Mayweather fans as angry and insecure. He didn't even bring factual evidence he just said Mayweather is insecure so his fans must be as well. This is how they connect with him. I simply responded to his rhetorical question letting him know that people watch boxing for reasons other than persona. Like actual boxing, in the ring.
Stop trying to spin this into something it isn't.Last edited by Espy; 04-26-2015, 12:41 PM.
