At the senior world championships, no American's get to the finals. It's all European's.

European's have always been far more technically skilled than American's, with American's being better athletes with more aggression. That's generally.

I can't help but love to watch Kostya Tszyu school Vernon Forrest in the final of the 1991 World Championships - http://www.**********.com/?d=YIRJI6VQ Forrest was rated as the best lb4lb amateur boxer in the whole of US.

The main prospects in the US IMO atm are.
          Allan Green
          Sechew Powell
          Ishe Smith.

I think Alex Arthur will mix in world class at some stage although perhaps sparingly. Im most excited about David Haye, i will eat my hat if he doesnt win a world title at cruiserweight by this time next year. There are alot of good boxers at the moment, what with funding for boxing being improved, and what with boxing being on ITV the sports profile will rocket.

where would you rank boxing for popularity in the this country?

              1.Football
              2.Rugby
              3.Cricket
              4.Boxing????

I'd put snooker at 4, and boxing at 5.. Boxing is plummeting, I think MMA is more popular than boxing as a whole right now.. what's the world coming to.

oh yeah snooker!, dont like that myself. I love football more than I could ever love boxing, but most football fans are into boxing to, remember Lennox fights?, I remember even when I was about 17 the last time Lewis fought against Klitchko me and my mates went to a pool hall to watch the fight and it was ****ing rammed at 2 in the morning. Lewis fights were like England internationals and I never really liked Lewis all that much. To be fair people still generally bum off heavyweights over here if we had another Brit Heavyweight contender interest would spark up to new levels even if it is a weak division. But I dont think boxing is on the slide really. We have the man at both 168 and 140.
