Now... who is Ward talking about?! Which boxer did this to him?? Apparently, it was early in his career... He gets rocked and doesn't remember what happened.

Watching the full video makes it crystal clear why Ward fought so hard to go his own way; Goosen Promotions couldn't get Ward onto the platforms that would give him a chance to launch.

You put Ward in front of eyeballs and he comes off as the budding star that he is. If Roc Nation can get Ward on Hot97, BET, MTV, the various New York airways, and other opportunities (with Ward maximizing his own efforts locally, largely on Comcast Sports Bay Area and maybe getting more exposure for Jordan brand/Everlast), Ward's sheer ability shines through.

The MGM Grand is looking for a new star to feature after Floyd hangs them up; Ward knocking off the rust in 2015 (with two fights), he'd walk into 2016 as the sport's best p4p fight, America's last Olympic gold medalist, clean cut and clear spoken, genuinely charismatic 32 year old star to build around [Ward could likely take on three fights for a few years, splitting his time between Oracle Arena/new SF arena and the MGM Grand, before settling into just two fights a year to ride out the end of his run].

Didn't Goossen get him paid more than $2 million to fight Edwin Rodriguez?

And I thought his dispute with Goossen was on a point of principle?

You should fight him if you feel that way. Get your Shannon Briggs on.

                  Probably Boone.

The other guess would be Kenny Kost, he also buzzed Ward early in his career.
