Did he say next year? Man, why do these clowns even get press coverage for this?
Michel doesn't rule out Kovalev fight next year

I thought his contract expired after Pascal? By then they'd have been knee deep in HBO negotiations.Yes we do. Kathy didn't resign until after she withdrew from purse bid. Kov had one more fight on his initial deal.
you don't know what the best possible offer for Stevenson is as you do not know what HBO is offering since you finally admitted there was no offer made.
Stop HeroBando.
It's just common sense that whatever HBO offers would be way better than Stevenson is getting for Bika, Sukhotsky, Fonfara 1 or even 2. Not only cause of the network money, but all the extra Canada income would be much higher. But no need to guess, have GYM start talking to HBO and we'd know some figures.Comment

This isn't true. Moreover, my major issue with Stevenson isn't a personal one, it's his poor level of competition. If you go back you'll see he was my pick for FOTY in 2013 and I felt the Kovalev fight was a 50-50 one.
Since then he's avoided the three major fighters in the divison while treating us to the likes of Bika and Sukhotsky. He's effectively holding the title hostage at this point, hasn't fought a mandatory since Bellew and no unifications.
On Main Events, I was in favor of them letting Kovalev go across networks, but since they turned it down and renewed an exclusive deal with HBO the only way the fight gets made is on HBO, which means the ball is in Stevenson's court.
Anyhow, I've pretty much accepted Haymon won't let Stevenson cross networks, and with Michel talking 2016 the fight is dead in the water. It's now up to the WBC to enforce Stevenson's next mandatory Isaac Chilemba.
Prove me wrong and show me your post where you break down all the falsehoodss Duva is feeding us. Or any post where you call her out for it. Cause ive seen you do the opposite consistently.
I didnt say your problem with Stevenson is personal. I just said you dislike him. The reason is his choice of opponents thats fine. But you dislike him and that makes you biased in my eyes.Comment

But not SIGNED, which means everything you said regarding why the fight has to be on HBO is null and void.I thought his contract expired after Pascal? By then they'd have been knee deep in HBO negotiations.

No it's not. SHowtime paid Stevenson more for shutkosky than HBO was paying both kov/Stevenson for their proposed fight. so you are clearly wrong.
Kathy/Kov ran from the fight after talking a lot about Stevenson this past year.Comment

Was I biased when I was touting him for FOTY? Kovalev had a strong case at that time too, along with 6-7 other fighters but Stevenson was my pick because I felt he deserved it.Prove me wrong and show me your post where you break down all the falsehoods Duva is feeding us. Main Events have just delivered us Hopkins v Kovalev, and Pascal v Kovalev inside 6 months. Did you not want those fights? Did you not enjoy those fights? But we're supposed to hammer on Duva who sent her fighter into the opponent's back yard multiple times to put them on? I trust they want the fight, their track record demonstrates it, just not on Haymon TV owing primarily to their association with HBO.Last edited by Weebler I; 04-24-2015, 02:04 PM.Comment

WTF?? what does all this past stuff have to do with now.Was I biased when I was touting him for FOTY? Kovalev had a strong case at that time too, along with 6-7 other fighters but Stevenson was my pick because I felt he deserved it.

right now, duva/kov ran away from the fight preventing it from happening. you, and others, have yet to call him out for this or wax about how the sport is damaged, like you did when Stevenson walked away from fight.
you didn't give Stevenson credit for past performance, so why now?Comment

It's signed now so it's HBO or more scrubs. Why do you want more scrubs? But not SIGNED, which means everything you said regarding why the fight has to be on HBO is null and void.

Link? Afaik no published figures, but don't forget Stevenson's income is both from the network and Canada PPV and live gate, since it's his guy promoting. Of course both of these were low for Sukhotsky, and Fonfara, and Bika...Comment

What are you talking about?Duva doesnt know who she is bidding against?
WTF?
Duva knew that GYM "could" outbid her but didnt know if they actually "would" do it?
Huh?
So your overall assertion is that promoters only go through purse bids when they already know the outcome?
Round and round you go on the never ending wheel of excuses.
Again, Duva doesn't know if the GYM/Haymon bid will be for the fight to be on PBC or SHO.
You're just rambling.Comment

Now: do you honestly that Main Events would have let Kovalev sign with Haymon? And: do you think that Main Events is run by Duva? Or: Haymon, did he ever asked Kovalev to sign with him? This isn't true. Moreover, my major issue with Stevenson isn't a personal one, it's his poor level of competition.
