This is why I said yesterday why call another purse bid? Team Kovalev does not want the fight and Duva made that clear last week. Stop wasting other people's time and stop throwing around ducking accusations, I don't even like Adonis and if they ever meet I hope Kovalev crushes his brain in but this is becoming a joke now, you can not call for a fight and accuse the other side of ducking you, then when presented with an opportunity to make the fight you come up with excuses.

I remember people accusing Adonis of deliberately signing with Al Haymon to duck Kovalev but now they are saying he should go fight Kovalev on HBO because it's is Kovalev that is tied up in a contract that prevents him from fighting on any other network! So is that a duck? Another thing is if HBO wants the fight why don't they put the money where Duva mouth is and back her in a purse bid?

If HBO can compromise to make a Mayweather fight with showtime then I don't expect a problem making lesser fights, all this is just an excuse to avoid the fight.

While GYM is a big fish in the Quebec fighting pond, internationally GYM is a guppy in a school of sharks. Stevenson - Bika didn't even sell out half of the Quebec Coliseum and would have been a financial bust without Haymon's money. Separate Haymon from GYM and they go back to their little arguments and petty squabbles with Interboxe.

Adonis couldn't sell the Pepsi Coliseum against Bika, right. But he might sell it against Pascal, which I doubt will be the case: Pascal's stock went down after his last fight; Adonis is beginning to feel his age and will be reluctant to fight the younger Jean (after the poor Bika performance).

I dont think they realised how cowboy Haymon would be with purse bids. Probably thought they had a good shot with HBO's backing, but Haymon is pulling money from somewhere. He bid 3.1 million for Dirrel Degale ffs.
