They have NEVER depended on Haymon's money to put on shows.
And yes, I do know what I am talking about and I am probably safe in saying that I am the only one here who has sat down to dinner with Yvon Michel.

For Chavez-Fonfara, Showtime likely put up $3.5m for that fight; most of it was likely because it was a Chavez fight, but Fonfara has now been apart of two big Showtime fight, performing well in both fights.
So, Showtime is likely going to bring money for Stevenson-Fonfara II, and the Canadian fans, having seen him fight Stevenson tough the first time (and hopefully seeing the Chavez fight), so there's going to be solid interest in the gate and PPV for the second fight.

You haven't answered what the 4 meaningful fights outside Beterbiev and Alavarez are, Fonfara II, ???, ???, ???,
The division's big unification fight is on the horizon, with no impediment barring either party from having their team's look for the largest payday possible. Why willing tie a hand behind your back, capping a segment of the money that the fight could generate.
The four fights (answered this in another post)
vs Fonfara II, vs Bute, vs Oosthuizen, vs Pascal(with Pascal winning 1-3 fights in the interim).
Beyond that, there are also a handful of fringe contender fights that are open for Stevenson, if you wanted me to name those too.
