It's my understanding that the promoters are responsible for paying their fighter's purses. The networks pay for the rights to air the fights.
But in the case of the PBC, the networks are paid to air the fights so the promoter -PBC- pays for everything.

        The WBC comes through.

Let's get it right this time, please. No one walk away. Make this damn fight.

Like I stated previously, HBO's parent company is Time Warner which has deeper pockets than CBS, NBC, and ABC combined. HBO, if they really wanted to, would outbid anyone, but like my man stated HBO is smart and will not go into a bidding way with Haymond.

And none are paying to air the PBC and none will be putting up $$ for the purse bid so it doesn't matter.

Time for Duva to beg HBO and maybe Roc Nation to get involved financially.
Could be a huge coming out fight for Jay Z in boxing if he can CO- promote this show on HBO.
Will it be a duck if they do this and Haymon won't let Stevenson fight on HBO?
It seems pretty clear that both guys NOW want the fight but promoters and Tv deals are getting in the way.

Yep, it's too ridiculous to swallow. Nobody ducks a guy like Quackenson.

This fight deserves to be on the big stage, not on some half assed PBC program where the FOUR titles that would be on the line would not even be on display.

If HBO has the sport's best interest at heart, they will let Kovalev fight on the network that offers him the most money for this fight.

Rightttt.. So the guy with the exclusive contract should have to jump ship instead of the guy who's not exclusive to anyone.
HBO is not in the business of building up fighters to just let them fight the biggest fight on a different network.
Especially not with guys like GGG and Kovalev. Didn't care much about the boring azz ward fighting a stiff from Europe though
