Shame that Ward ducked the almighty Bute.

Obviously. Bute is the biggest internet hype job creation. Nobody who loses to Liberado Andrade can be called the #1 fighter in the division.
And Bute had a shot to beat his first credible opponent to put him in line for a shot at the lineal title and got blasted.
He struggled with ****ing Grachev who got KO'd in 1 by Edwin.
Like Jay Z says....."his whole career was an accident...who is gassin him"Comment

Precisely !
Ward drew Kessler first up !
It was mandated.
I dont know how you can say that tbh.
You are attempting to insinuate that Ward ducked Bute, so that most definitely does matter.....
Dirk, I dont give a fakk what vacant ABC strap Bute managed to pick up.
I stopped thinking of title-holders as champions decades ago.
IF Bute was relevant, it was because Ward had already eliminated the competition during the Super-6, not because Bute stepped up and fought a legit contender.
Bute clearly was not on Frochs levels, so I dont know how you can argue that he deserved to walk around the other Super-6 competiitors into a fight with Ward..... based on picking up a vacant belt, by beating a nobody.
Maybe you would have a point if Bute hadn't turned out to be way over-rated..... if he had beaten Froch sure..... but then Ward would have fought him, so ?
Much ado about nothing imho.
Ward, along with the other 5 (7, as it turned out) guys, put it all on the line to prove their worth in a knockout tourney..... Bute did nothing.
You are making out like Ward got handed a shot, for nothing..... but in actual fact ALL competitors would get that shot eventually in a round-robin tourney, as would Bute had he entered the Super-6.
Dirk, Ward faced/beat everyone, and all Bute had to do was beat Froch.
One fight, against one guy.
You all said Bute was that good, but for some reason didnt think that he should have to prove it before landing a fight with Ward.
I dont get that.
That is the same as Kell Brook demanding Mayweather, simply because he beat Porter for the **insert valid letters here** title..... when in actual fact Brook has not earned that fight as yet.
Let me qualify my point.....Kell Brook has achieved more in his division, than Lucian Bute had achieved in his division, before Bute demanded a fight with Ward.
Ridiculous.
The only difference is, Brook has not demanded Mayweather, and nobody has accused Mayweather of ducking Brook.
Brook knows that he needs to go to work, which is exactly what Bute needed to do.Comment

My point is that Kessler and/or Froch could have said *** the Super Six, these young guys haven't done **** to get their shot.
Everyone has to get their shot at some point - Ward had won the Super 6 and the next guy in line was Bute and he refused to fight him.
If Bute wasn't deserving then who was? Was Ward gonna retire or something? LOL...like I said shoddy and very questionable excuses were used.Comment

What's your proof of Bute's worth? Andrade II and Miranda?
It's a wonder that you're not a Golovkin supporter.

Worth as what? A fighter? No no you're right, he was a bum. Which makes it all the more strange why you're trying to defend Ward refusing to even fight him in Oakland for his highest ever purse.Comment

Absurd. You guys have been looking for any excuse to discredit Ward after he dominated and embarrassed all your favorite fighters, and this Bute **** is ridiculous.
Bute got knocked out by Froch five months after the super six ended.
Ward said that he would fight Bute, but not immediately after he fought Froch. He said wanted to either settle things with Kessler or fight one of the 175lb champions first. In fact, Ward had suggested Froch and Bute fight, but he also said he was very disappointed with the fact that Bute had signed a multifight deal with Froch, which would possibly tie him up for the rest of 2012.
Ward took on Dawson, a much better fighter than Bute, a few months after that. Did you forget?
And you guys have the nerve to defend Carl "I'd rather retire than fight Golovkin but I'd love to fight a talentless middleweight" Froch??
You guys are too much, man.Comment
