Froch is Andre Ward's son, just like Kessler and Abraham are. All Froch did was knock out a pretender and make Ward a Grandfather.

Froch, Abraham and Dirrell have been keeping the belts warm for Andre. That's it. Just like when Tyson went to prison. The real champion is back, no need for these stand-ins any longer.
That is the whole point right there !

    Clearly not a duck !

The fact that Froch dished him up proved that Ward was right.

    We shouldnt be discussing this.

There are more valid reasons to bash Ward than Bute lol.

Depends how you define a duck.

I think turning down your highest ever payday for frivolous reasons is always very questionable.

I think Ward won the Super Six and felt like he deserved a break and thought Bute would be another difficult fight.

Carl Froch was offered an easy touch after the Super Six but he said no, bring me Bute.

There's no logical explanation using that reasoning.
        I agree !

        Ward could have fought Bute.

He could have fought a lot of people.

That could have been a poor business decision, and possibly was, although that fight would obviously have been much bigger had Bute proved his worth against Froch.

Doesnt make it a duck !

Especially considering Ward fought Dawson instead, and he stated that Bute was next up if he could get past Froch.

Ward would have fought/beaten Bute had he got past Froch.

If Kell Brook demands Mayweather, and Floyd refuses to fight Brook.....

Nobody will accuse Mayweather of ducking Brook !

Especially not if Brook gets knocked out in his very next fight.

And yet.....Brook has achieved more than Bute ever did.

It is reaching badly to call Ward a duck !

But, I have no problem with that.

Dont know how you can call that a duck, considering Ward said that he would fight Bute next if he proved himself by beating a contender.

Ward could/should have taken the fight, but it wasnt a duck.

It doesn't really prove anything except that Froch did Ward's dirty work for him.

Froch and Ward are completely different fighters and just because Froch butt ***ed him that way doesn't mean Ward would have done the same thing.

I would have heavily favoured Ward but I wanted to see that fight at the time.

I'm done on the Bute subject.....

Ward should move to 175 and clean house.

There is nobody left at 168, he cannot become undisputed because he will not fight the Dirrell boys..... he should content himself with being the best supermiddleweight and move to 175 to kill all of that Kovalev/Stevenson talk
