Comments Thread For: Mayweather: I go through more racism than Ali!

Close the thread. No one is saying that. Stop being hysterical.
The issue here is Floyd's ridiculous assertion that reading some 12 year old internet troll's comments are somehow worse than being legally barred from voting, owning property, going to adequate schools, taking public transportation, etc that people during the Jim Crow days had to endure.
But if you want to keep playing the internet victim card with Floyd be my guest. I'll be playing my invisible violin for you.Comment

Every individual is different on this planet, it's wrong to assume that you know what someone else thinks. If you go around with that paranoid attitude it's unsurprising that you'd think there's racism around every corner.Comment

But who's helping them? It's obvious they can't help themselves & the powers that be (non black) Africans don't care. The mentality of the rich in Africa is the poor will eventually take care of themselves and not in a good way.Comment

So Africans, who RUN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES, apparently are so unfit to do so, that wide-scale violence persists... yet somehow...even though Africans now have power in their own countries... it's STILL the problem of white people....
BTW, the powers that be(the .01%) could care less about race... everyone is subject to the grinder as far as they're concerned...Doesn't matter if they're white...Ragging on white people will literally get you know where... Only thing that matters now is money... Self-determination is a myth...
To add: There's this myth that with Political Correctness, white people bend over backwards to give opportunities to under-achieving blacks... To which I only reply: RIGO... Black(out-performs everyone) AND SPEAKS SPANISH... yet... left in the shadow realm... WHY? TO PROTECT PROFITS... simple as that...Last edited by darius45; 04-20-2015, 11:55 PM.Comment

Jesus...
It's clear you don't even have a tenuous grasp on History. So again, I have to ask... do you even know what the Jim Crow Laws were? The Black Code?
If you really think those particular de jure/de facto legislative codes have no connection to racism... institutionalized racism... then I suggest you study up on the subject.
Right. Right. Let's take some realities in 2015 and see if they would've happened in say 1952.Wow they changed laws but still doesn't change a white male makes the most in our country like back then n would likely get jobs first when people of different races are as qualified or more
Barack ***** running for President. Oprah or Tyler Perry owning billion dollar media empires. LeBron James playing in the NBA. A random black man drinking from a Whites only water fountain or trying to send his daughter to an all white public school.
Do those things happen in 1952?
Of course inequality still exists. No one said life was perfect. But you did go to school. You weren't barred from getting an education. You can literally work any job that you are qualified for.We didn't even use the same books as our white friends at different schools n we were the same age n grade
Not to sound callous but... so?Police killing innocent blacks everyday in the usa
I'm sure police kill innocent (depending on how you define that word) people of all races. The media nowadays loves to sensationalize White cop on Black civilian drama. I didn't agree with how the Mike Brown fiasco went down, but even the Justice Department led by Eric Holder let the cop off the hook.
Now if they were Whites mobs of people hanging blacks from trees and light posts, that'd be a cause for real concern.
OK... but what does that have to do with actual systematic racism? Can subtle racism keep Floyd from voting or eating at his favorite restaurant?Racism is more subtle now n if you got money people tolerate you...but you still a coon in their mind n heart
But you most likely won't get arrested for drinking from their water fountains, sitting at the front of the bus there. Or worse... openly lynched without repercussions.I'm an average Joe n talking to my moms she SD the only difference is laws....if I go to a predominantly white neighborhood tomorrow i will get stares, police harassment, n people saying stuff under their breathe
Great. But thanks to pioneers and Civil rights activists from that time, you have MANY freedoms and rights that they never did.Our generation is less tolerant of being mistreated than the ones pre Ali...he helped because he was global figure.... We fight everyday for change n equalities
And? Is there anything legally or otherwise stopping a Black person from your neighborhood from owning a business? Are the banks in your area going to bar you from getting a loan because of your race? Can you not own property in your neighborhood because of your race? There are more indian, korean, arab, white business in our own neighborhood than our own....its not cause blacks ain't trying.
Those are the sort of issues people living under Jim Crow had to endure.Last edited by ThePrince; 04-20-2015, 11:57 PM.Comment

I'm not ragging on white people so I apologize if u feel that way. All I am saying is what we consider racism now in the US is minute compared to other countries. Africa was the best example I can give in regards to blacks living in poverty while "others" are not. Basically I feel blacks & any 1 really in the US should be grateful that we can be what we want regardless of our race & not pull the race card when you have a garage full of ferraris especially. So Africans, who RUN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES, apparently are so unfit to do so, that wide-scale violence persists... yet somehow...even though Africans now have power in their own countries... it's STILL the problem of white people....

Not really the point is it? I'm not a fan of Oprah or of Perry's bamboozled routine.
What Black billionaires (or multimillionaires due to inflation) can anyone in this thread name from the 40s, 50s or 60s.
Maybe there's a couple of musicians, maybe some athletes... Stepinfetchit.Comment

I agree... It's in bad form for anyone(but especially a fighter whose incredibly rich) to play the victim card... Forget the race issue even... He's a FIGHTER... he supposed to be literally the opposite of a victim...He fights, he's active... a victim(a race-baiter) uses passive-aggressive tactics to win(it's in bad form, it's an ungraceful way to achieve victory)I'm not ragging on white people so I apologize if u feel that way.
