Mayweather says he is better than ALI and sugar ray robinson

Now I don't agree but if Ali Was young and in his prime he would probably say the same thing about mayweather if he fought before he did.

On a side note ali, mayweather and broner were all born in the year of the snake and all have an proud streak about them lol.

      As well he should.

These guys are supposed to believe that they're the best. Just because Ali and SRR are legends, doesn't mean you're not allowed to think you're better than they are.

Floyd is more skilled than Ali which would make him BETTER imo...but Ali is GREATER and his GREATNESS can NEVER be topped imo...so Ali is the GREATEST

Floyd probably is better than Ali at not getting hit, but that about it. There is much more to being great than not being hit.
Ali is better than Floyd at everything else.

That is what brought a lot of his initial hate, noticed that soon as I started following him. The funniest part is when people get emotional over these comments.

Being the greatest is not something you tell the world from your own mouth, the world tells you if you are the greatest, but you have to earn it. It is like trust, you can't even demand trust, you have to earn it.

Declaring yourself the greatest yourself is simply a sign of immaturity. Let's wait a couple more weeks, Floyd has to win convincingly, then maybe I and many of my friends will change our opinion of him. If he continues to ride his bicycle in the ring, even if he wins, I still would not call him the greatest - because the greatest and well respected boxers never run.

It's not a sign of immaturity. It's a sign of confidence to the point of being cocky about it.

There's not a single problem in the world with him saying that he's the best. None whatsoever.
