Separation WAS the catalyst that sparked the whole civil rights movement and the slew of legal and judicial precedents that followed as a RESULT of Blacks banding together REFUSING to ride the white owned bus or refusing to spend money at any white owned establishments in the south . The legal changes came as a result of SEPARATION , because the system was on the verge of economic collapse . The problem was once the civil rights laws were passed it tricked Blacks into believing racial issues had ended and now it's worse . Instead of getting the dogs unleashed on us , unarmed Blacks instead r shot in cold blood and their racist killers r vindicated by predominately all white juries . And please don't mention Malcolm if u think he died a integrationist . That's the WHITE version of posthumous Malcolm , but if u really studied him you'd know nothing was further from the truth . Malcolm was always the raw and uncut , sobering voice of reality in racist America , and that's why he was so hated , and he was always a separatist . I agree with what you are sayin! But must we on a boxing site my dude? There is a time and a place for this sort of discussion. I believe we should all try and stick to the boxing on here. Or if you choose open your own post and let people chime in rather than post it on a boxing specific related article. The issue is not how many sprinkles of White fighters Haymon has , but rather an issue of Black dollars staying within the hands of blacks people to lesson the black plight . It's called community economics u moron ! Have u ever seen the movie Cadillac records which lays out a historic platform of how damn near all the hit music was stolen from black artist and handed to whites . Well historically boxing is no exception as most of our Greatest legends (who allowed whites to control their money) died broke .Comment

Yes and let's pretend my grandfather and yours weren't side by side with white people who got their faces bashed in for being what was termed lovers of us....I love when half the story is told because of the self inflicted propaganda and change of the facts. There were plenty of people who fought for rights in this country not just us, there were plenty who suffered and stood tall alongside us but yes let's ignore the fact that those people stood with us. I'm glad you are finding so much support for your argument because it sure as hell explains a lot about the dynamic of this site. Malcolm realized at the end...he may not have been that all his life but he realized it. Dr. King realized it, all other great leaders realized that separation is a real catalyst for more issues but don't take my word for it keep on keeping on.Separation WAS the catalyst that sparked the whole civil rights movement and the slew of legal and judicial precedents that followed as a RESULT of Blacks banding together REFUSING to ride the white owned bus or refusing to spend money at any white owned establishments in the south . As opposed to seeing the man being shelved like a can of goya beans, I'd much prefer this scenario with Haymon.September 1st 2015: Rigondeaux ends contract with Hyde get threatened with litigation.
September 2nd 2015: Caribe Promotions comes to an agreement to have Mr Haymon organize all events for their fighters (I.E. Rigo). Caribe maintains it's brand and name as to avoid Mr. Haymon from being in violation of the Muhammad Ali act. Mr. Rigondeaux's next opponent is from the VIP division of Uber and his purse for the fight will be 1.5 million USD.
I love Rigondeaux but the reality is even jumping ship isn't going to make his career any better. The names he wants and needs are all at least a division above him at this point or with european promoters who don't want to do business unless it's on their terms. I'm sure he's happy with the purses he'll get though.Comment

U say that there r plenty of people who fought for rights in this country , not just US . You mean to tell me your actually Black ! I just can't with u anymore , I'm truly done !!!! No matter what u say after this .Yes and let's pretend my grandfather and yours weren't side by side with white people who got their faces bashed in for being what was termed lovers of us....I love when half the story is told because of the self inflicted propaganda and change of the facts. Can't argue with your points, that is the reality of the matter, you are correct.U r 20% of fans who like his style, at the end of the day its a business, floyd is different, he throwsmore, if he sees opponent hurt hell try to finish them as oppose to back off, like i said at the end of the day fans choose what they like.. Fans pay for whatever pleases them, if they walk out during his fights oh well, lol thsts embarrasing
But I must say, How did we get hear? How did the Fans go from Loving Appreciating the Sweet Science back in the 40's, 50', 60's, 70's, and 80's to Now developing a taste for Brawlers, Blood Sweat and Tears, just violence for sake of violence?
The Media, The $$$ Men, the Powers that be behind the scenes, they have corrupted the minds of the people, that's what happened. Fans are Pawns, People in general are Pawns, they like what they are "conditioned" to like, they like what they are "subliminally told" to like by the Tel-A-Vision tube, the Idiot box sitting in everyone's living room.
So yea im that 20% keepn it 100 24/7 refusing to go along to get along, I like what is Pure not what is counterfeit.
But to each there own, and again I do agree with you though. :ANYWORD:Last edited by ManAnimalX; 04-20-2015, 09:23 PM.Comment

There is a social element to everything in Life, sports are no different. These are real people and real problems are the reality, though it makes some uncomfortable to discuss, race relations and all that encompasses is not going anywhere, so I see no point in avoiding the convo, even on a Boxing site.I agree with what you are sayin! My race and complexion make me no less or more special than anyone else. I politic, chop it up, get twisted with, live amongst, and make money with people of all ethnicities and walks of life. I used to think just like you while i was up in the projects and mom dukes was on welfare. Today I make my way in this world on my skills and abilities aware that not everyone who doesn't look like me or come from my same struggles isn't racist or trying to hold me back. I'm sorry if you feel the way you do and you think the way you do but perhaps you should experience the world a bit more abroad of your own horizons and reality might dawn on you too. Peace.Comment
