Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Fires Back at Hyde: Lies, False Statements!

WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux has returned fire, responding to a series of statements that were recently made by his current manager Gary Hyde.

A few days ago, Rigondeaux (15-0, 10KO) made it known that his contract with Hyde was set expire in September and he also rejected Hyde's plan to have the Cuban boxer travel over to the UK to publicly challenge Scott Quigg. The Olympic two-time gold medal winner is looking forward to what he believes to be a new dawn in his career, but is not revealing any information regarding what changes are going to take place.

Hyde responded after reading his statements with a very long outline of their relationship from start to finish.

Rigo is so under the control of Caribe he sees right as wrong. No thinking boxer would ever consider working with them let alone staying by their side as long as Rigo has.

September 2nd 2015: Caribe Promotions comes to an agreement to have Mr Haymon organize all events for their fighters (I.E. Rigo). Caribe maintains it's brand and name as to avoid Mr. Haymon from being in violation of the Muhammad Ali act. Mr. Rigondeaux's next opponent is from the VIP division of Uber and his purse for the fight will be 1.5 million USD.

I love Rigondeaux but the reality is even jumping ship isn't going to make his career any better. The names he wants and needs are all at least a division above him at this point or with european promoters who don't want to do business unless it's on their terms. I'm sure he's happy with the purses he'll get though.

You have once again proven to be ignorant, I don't claim to know all the details, but Gary Hyde is like a mole keeping Rigo out of the spot light because he's a fantastic boxer that makes all these Brawlers and 2nd rate boxer/puncher's (Donaire anyone?)look like.....

Rigondeaux is so good I would pick him over Floyd Mayweather Jr. at 147lb( if Rigo was a 147lb fighter ), Oh yea without even blinking. Rigondeaux is THE BEST IN THE GAME. The True Master.

And Caribe? Lol, man Please shut up, you guys are the other Evil leeching off of Rigo with NO $$$$ to put up but you collect 20% everytime Rigo fights, No worries though, 1st we deal with Gary Hyde and then Caribe, in that order ONLY BECUASE going with Al Haymon( Advisor/Manager ) is more lucrative than signing with Roc Nation who is a Promoter like Caribe.

The fact is that many other promotional companies and fighters’ representatives have refused to do business with Rigo because of his association with Gary Hyde.

Nobody is going to refuse to deal with Rigo because of Hyde. That is so self-evidently ridiculous that you have to wonder just how much of a two-bit operation Caribe actually are.

You had me until the Floyd comment ...they are the same fighter ...Floyd may have better defense but he's also more accurate and diverse. I'm a fan if both but you are not thinking clearly

We, the boxing delegation agree to the Gary Hyde for Al Haymon trade as long as Hyde takes Caribe with him. If Rigo refuses to ditch them as well then all offers must be revoked.
