Erkan Teper (14-0) got Belarus giant Alexander Ustinov (30-2) as co-challenger for the vacant EBU heavyweight title. The EBU are now calling for purse bids and all bids will be opened May 5 at noon (Rome time).
Ustinov fought for the same title in 2012 but got knocked out by Kubrat Pulev but have since bounced back with wins over David Tua and Chauncey Welliver and was hours away from fighting Tyson Fury last summer when he stepped in for the injured Dereck Chisora only to have Fury pull out on the day of the fight due to family problems.
