    Welcome back Larry.

We can all jump to conclusions when we believe we're seeing something that fits a type. A couple of my friends asked a while back who the two guys were always lurking behind fighters at the start of bouts. I told them they were the Harbingers of the Mismatch, that whenever they see them skulking in the background they should settle in for a sickeningly lopsided exhibition.

I was critical for a while then I decided to look a little closer 'cause as a long term business strategy, mismatches in boxing hardly stand you out from the crowd and Haymon was getting too much respect from those who work with him to be just another run of the mill promoter/manager.

After watching a number of interviews with Sam Watson he was giving the impression that Haymon's business model is akin to what Dana White has done with the UFC. Irrespective of what anyone thinks about cage fighting they run a tight ship that puts boxing to shame.

So now he's signed up the talent and has his own platform he's making fighters actually fight each other. He may turn out to be a breath of fresh air for the sport. Though it would be folly to jump to conclusions as some of us, me included, have already done that once and our criticisms were a little shortsighted.

These threads are always ridiculous. Clearly not everyone complains about Haymon. He even has fanboys like Dunn and Fetta.

He has good and bad points like most promoters/managers. For me, he's had more bad moments than good but that's me.

I like Haymon, because of him we have all of these fights on network tv.

Take Lee/Quillin, that was a very good even match on paper.
