Comments Thread For: Arum: We'd Love For Brandon Rios To Face Kell Brook

Boxingscene.com recently caught up with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum to get an update on Brandon Rios and Nonito Donaire.

When asked if undefeated IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook is the best option for Rios. Arum replied, "I think so. It's a great fight. We are talking to Eddie Hearn. I would love for Brandon to fight Kell Brook."

Brook returns on May 30th against Frankie Gavin but has indicated that he would like to fight twice before the end of the summer.

So it's confirmed that Hearn's talk of Quigg facing Donaire next was BS, no surprise there. And wasn't he claiming Brook-Rios was set last week?

Where was that confirmed? Arum just said they were talking but Donaire is going to fight in Macau.

Lets see if Brook ends up fighting anyone with a pulse, alot of noise from them about khan, brook and hearn want to make it seem like they want big fights when khans about as tough as theyll go, meanwhile brook fights jo jo dan and frankie gavin ( i had to search for this guys name) they continue to fool the british boxing fans, but clearly thats not very hard to do.

Jo Jo Dan was his mandatory. He was supposed to then fight in July but Hearn has put him on the May card so he could make it a PPV (doubt anyone will buy anyway). He'll fight again before the summer is over against an actual name.

I was definitely on Brook's side when it came to Khan. But instead of fighting a guy like Rios he really needs to step up the competition. He needs to fight a Bradley Thurman next.

People have to be realistic about who is going to come to Sheffield this summer.

Bradley would be of some significance,Thurman ain't sh.it yet until he's proved himself.
