This is where a good promoter would step in and save the boxer from himself sad but his promoter only worried bout that money and no well being of a guy that blocks punches with face doesn't matter if it's a hard puncher or sift puncher he takes to much punishment

It's not good to get your brain smacked around like that against one of the biggest punchers in the sport in consecutive fights.

Provo needs a fight against a lighter puncher in his next bout before the thinks about a Matthysse rematch, it was merciful for him that Matthysse hurt his hand in the 6th or 7th.

agreed but thats why i question why people hate on boxers so much we all like violence but honestly these head first brawlers have such short effective careers for a reason. those type of fights stay with the boxer forever he may never be the same. i dont know how to put into words what im saying but i just hate to see fans take these type of fighters for granted as they are giving their entire healthy life

That was the kind of fight that won both of those guys fans and respect.

Matthysse obviously wants the Garcia rematch, and he deserves it. Ruslan was a trial by fire.

Provodnikov should pursue a rematch with Bradley or Algieri if you can get it. Both him and Matthysse need a break from each other.

As good as it was, that was also a very hard fight to watch in some aspects. Those guys were hitting each other with elite power. Lots of venom on those punches. If I was a doctor I'd say to give them both like 6-9 months off, for real.

What light hitting 140lb contender can Provo fight next?

I understand your post but Provo is who he is. If you put him in with a boxer he will lose. His best chance is a power puncher who will stay close unless he can force a guy like Bradley into a nasty brawl.

Any and every other contender is "light hitting" compared to Lucas lol
