Cotto/Geale is an interesting matchup precisely because Geale lacks power, but can box.

Cotto's clear strategy is to avoid fighting MW's with power. Drain them down, too.

If anything, Canelo looks to be on track

Was gifted a WBC title for being Mexican

Always gets the better end of fights that can be seen for the other fighter

Was practically whitewashed by the true champion of the division they were fighting at

Creating ****** weight rules just because they are too big for the division at hand, but will only have limited success as their proper weight class

Now Canelo just needs to be matched up with a fighter his own size, a middleweight. GGG would Fonfara Canelo, but I respect the fact Canelo would probably fight him anyway

Cotto has fought bigger men before, so it won't be his first time like it was for Chavez.

Do any of you actually thinks that Cotto with Freddy on his side will loose to Trout if they were to fight again?

It was pretty funny to see Chavez try and fight like Martinez for a stretch, with his hands down and head feints. I was like, "Really, Junior... REALLY?!?!"

              With Roach, Cotto obliterates Trout.

Chavez is also slow and clumsy for a world class fighter. I hope Geale does beat Cotto. Geale would defend the title more than once a year and at the weight middleweight title fights are supposed to be fought at. 160 pounds and not an ounce less. Geale might even defend the title against the real middleweight champ GGG and that is something Cotto will clearly never do.
World class fighter! If not for his father, JR would barely have been heard of. The guy's a bum. World class fighters or just good fighters school him every time. His lack of dedication and no amateur experience, means we won't see much more of this less-than-a-shadow-of-his-father fighter.

i can see geale outboxing cotto, and i wouldn't be surprised if he caught cotto with some good hard shots too. geale is an underrated middleweight imo. i also don't think the catchweight will affect him either because it really isn't much (only like 3 lbs). this will be a good tough fight for cotto.
