On one scorecard it was 88-81 other two had it 89-80

Good for the judges doing the right thing. Anytime and any fight against Chavez you'd have to bite your nails hoping he doesn't escape with heist #75340.

Chavez is a coward look......Here’s what Chavez Jr. said while quitting on his stool after the 9th round:
“Stop it, I’m done. Stop the fight. Stop it. Stop it. I want it stopped. It’s my leg. My legs bothering me. Stop it!!!

But, the size advantage Fonfara had against Chavez was clear. Honestly, don't know what weight class Chavez belongs at. Possibly 168, kind of like Broner when he tested the waters at 147. Thought Chavez fought decent last night, but just bit off more than he could chew against a solid light-heavyweight, pretty much jumped up 2 weight classes in opponent size. But, yeah like you said, this is a result of him not watching his weight in between fights.

As for punching power, I mean Chavez wasn't really much of a hitter even at 160, so I have no idea how he thought he could make it against 175 lb. guys.
Did you possibly watch the fights on HBO last night and somehow confuse the two cards??

You can say it twice but doesn't make it true. After more than ONE year away. Bryan Vera rematch was 3/1/2014.

Chavez Jr. just does not have the proper motivation, and it seems like this result was just a matter of time. He was an enormous middleweight and could take punches all night long but his lack of defensive fundamentals are not going to do him any favors this high up the scale.

He still doesn't seem like he takes any of it seriously to me.

Does this kill a JCC Jr. v. Golovkin fight? Maybe not. I think I'd still watch that. I'm not sure JCC has any business being in there with any top 175 pounders. He's got nothing for Ward at 168 either. I think he's in a real tough spot now.

Chavez, JR has been exposed. He's an undedicated, under-skilled fighter who can't control his weight. He has no amateur experience, which means he's flying by the seat of his pants, and on his father's coattails. He's also a whiny b1tch. He cried to the ref all night. Any talented, properly-schooled fighter gives him hell.
