I said it on another thread and I'll repeat it now, Rigondeaux is a complete moron outside off the ring

People pointing fingers at Hyde for not allowing Rigondeaux to leave yet overlook the fact that Rigondeaux is not fulfilling his obligations by sitting out.

Here's my question. Say, Hyde allows Rigo to leave by September... What about Caribe? How long is there contract? Because last time I checked, Hyde was the one whom brought in all the lucrative deals after HBO and TR wanted no parts of Rigo, however, they were all shot down because of Caribes leeching ways. So even if Hyde is out of the picture, wouldn't Haymon or anyone else trying to sign Rigo have a difficult time since Caribe will still be around Rigondeaux?

You should read stuff written by Brin Jonathan Butler. He went to Cuba and did tons of research and interviews with Cuban fighters. He even got Felix Savon to train him.

He talks about how Cuban guys have no idea how serious it is when you sign a contract. To them it's just a piece of paper, but within a market based society it's a sacred document. They just don't get that until it's too late.

Butler did a great series of interviews with Rigo. Well worth checking out.

Yeah but the fighter is the talent, he is the one who pick which Manager and Promoter to sign. Lets not pretend like Managers are not getting their cut, Hyde haven't been working for Rigondeaux for "FREE". If you know the fighter wants out and is planning to leave...Take The Buyout! Because trying to force him to stay as your client is not going to work

It's amazing people are actually trying to blame Hyde for Rigos problems.

Hyde spent hundreds of thousands of dollars getting Rigo out of Cuba. Rigo needs to fulfill his end of the contract period, I have no sympathy for these idiot boxers that sign contracts then try to pull some bull**** to get out of it (e.g Ward, Mikey).

It's pretty obvious Caribe Promotions, the promotional company that cant actually promote without leeching off a bigger company, is the problem. Along with Rigos own ******ity/ignorance.

Nobody spend " hundreds of thousands of dollars" getting out of Cuba 10K is the average and they getting a lot in return if the client is a high profile athlete like Puig, Moncada, Castillo, Tomas, Cespedes etc... hyde got his invesment back by a hundred fold.

Rigo isn't very marketable, he's refusing to travel, his style isn't fan friendly and he's highly avoided by the boxers in his division. He has also shown no interest in moving up a weight to find a challenge there.

He signed a contract, he's received pretty good money considering, thus far. The morons shouting slavery need to sit down and have a talk with themselves. ****** don't get paid, and I never heard of any slave making 1.8 million from 3 nights work (training excluded obviously)

Hyde is well within his right to hold him to the contract. If he wants to leave Hyde, maybe he should I dunno, maybe actually do his fkin job and box? Take a fight, then leave Hyde and go get robbed by somebody else.

                Rigo is at fault here...
Rigondeaux is very marketable, you only repeating what arum say after he schooled nonito, a two time olympic Gold medalist know by millions is very marketable, but arum didn't want to do it, he just fought in Japan and 32 million ppl watch him on tv and was welcome by on a red carpet, as soon as arum said he was "boring" all the boxers around his weight class jump in the wagon, and finally he is 34 years old and only hydrates to 124-125 pounds the night of the fight, if you know the game Ill not have to explain to you what that means, so I'm going to do it, he has grew to his maximum weight, he could fight at 115-118 with ease, so please do your homework, by the way I think that going to Japan answered your stament about the Cuban refusing to travel and he went to Ireland or England to fight casey, also he have say that he will go to frampton, quigg and st+ living room if they sign the contract.

I feel a little sorry for Hyde however I don't know why doesn't he let Rigo to Haymon...
That would be obviously the best for Rigo's career right now. Better than Roc Nation. Who Roc NAtion got in Rigo's weight class or featherweight?
