Of course he does. Roach has made it clear that everyone is second place to Pacquiao, and his assistant didn't seem to lay out a very good game plan.

He had no offense in the beginning of the fight, no offensive strategy or plan whatsoever other than move him to the ropes.

No I don't think so. He's set in his ways right now.

If he gets a new trainer, let's a more defensive minded trainer, I think he'd lose even worse. He is what he is right. Nothings going to change that.

Simodio was giving him good advice and I thought Ruslan ignored him completely. Where was the jab and the body attack? He didn't start throwing body punches the middle of the fight.

Its more the language barrier, if there was the Russian equivalent of a Robert Garcia then he would be a monster.

Yea I felt that Somodio guy told him the right things..all at the right times.
Even the thing about "Show me or prove to me I shouldn't stop the fight"...was just to motivate him...Because he got horribly hurt that previous round and was dominated.

Obviously that line worked because Provo did better from that point on.

If anything Lucas trainer failed him more. Ruslans just kept him fighting and he almost pulled it out because Lucas trainer put that false sense of confidence in him for the last few rounds telling him he was winning big. Still a good fight though. Mad respect to both.
