I do enjoy seeing him get busted up, but quitting is not a good look at all. I enjoy watching Berto get his ass kicked too, but at least he doesn't give up. Rosado fought with one eye against Lemieux, and Ruslan fought tonight with an ugly gash on his eyelid; what extenuating difficulties did Chavez have to face tonight that would lead him to quit? He's a freaking joke, even the casual and diehard Chavez fan can see that now.

Chavez is either going to have to hang them up, fight a few bums in order to not go out on a loss, or walk away for a year. Haymon will find a way to spin it. I see Chavez "humbling" himself and fighting a few bums this year. Pick up some easy no name wins and that one loss is all water under the bridge. At least thats how theyll spin it. Make no mistale Haymon will gradually rebuild and brainwash his fanbase like with Lamont.

Those other guys aren't the son of the most famous Mexican fighter in history. I live in Texas and I party with Mexicans all the time. He might be a bum but he's their bum. And Texas doesn't get to be on the big stage when it comes to boxing very often. People will show up for the event.

Not Really! Chavez Jr has his fanbase so he is going to draw well no matter if he loses that is one thing Mexican Boxers have that no many other fighters have which is..."A LOYAL FANBASE!"

Chavez jr can recover and redeem himself, however he needs to move down, I don't know if making 160 is even possible for him anymore but he needs to get back to that Division or maybe even 168

Lack of discipline especially when it comes to his weight, came back and just bite him right in the ass!

Mexicans also like the warrior spirit. It didn't help that Showtime replayed the corner cam for everyone to see that Chavez Jr. said stop the fight. He said stop the fight my leg hurts.

That was a really embarrassing moment, along with his post fight.

I don't think those antics are going to over well with the fanbase.

You are really overstating his value. his fanbase gets smaller with every fight.
