That wasn't just a fight. It was a brutal WAR. Geez, how those 2 made it thru is beyond me. Talk about determination. When I was a teenager I was extremely determined and never gave up, but wow these guys were both machines tonight. I gave it to Matty because of his superior boxing, but it was close. Where each goes from here will be intriguing.

Respect to Provodnikov but I don't understand the close scores. I thought Matthysse pretty clearly won. And he won most of his rounds even more clearly imo. The uppercuts in the opening rounds from him should've leveled a normal fighter.

Good fight but not close enough to be a "FOTY" contender. I had it 116-112 and I was probably being generous to Provodnikov. He's got tonnes of heart but Matthysse outclassed him.
