lol gift didn't outbox ****, he narrowly won the fight on points. he only "took over" when matthysse got bothered by the eye injury. in all actuality it was lucas boxing gift in the first half by avoiding those ****** hooks. gift is not some sort of puzzle you need a high boxing iq for, he's a basic fighter with a good chin who keeps catching lucky breaks.

Beautiful jab by Lucas Matthysse. Uppercuts left and right battered Provodnikov's face. You don't get points for absorbing punches with your face. Provo landed some nice punches, but not close at all, so I don't understand the thread title.

ruslan could still see more/less, sure it probably burned w/ the sweat going into the cut/blood in the eye, but his vision probably wasn't affected much (didnt see a doctor even bother looking at it)

I actually agree..... but he was too good for Matthyse.

Garcia is not a bad boxer, his timing and ability to control distance is pretty good. The things that are usually very effective for Matthyse, were not as effective against Garcia. I thought Garcia neutralised him pretty well.

If Garcia is overhyped, Matthyse is more overhyped, thats for sure.
