Comments Thread For: Roman Gonzalez Weight On Target 30 Days Out

Taking a break from dismissing rumored fights, World flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez is on course for his May 16 title defense versus Edgar Sosa in Inglewood, California.

The unbeaten wunderkind from Nicaragua tipped the scales at 120.5 lbs. for his 30-day check-in weight, a prerequisite for all fights sanctioned by the World Boxing Council (WBC). Fighters participating in WBC events must weigh no more than 10% above their contracted weight at the 30-day mark, and no more than 5% over the limit at seven days.

Fck roman. He needs to grow a pair and fight estrada again and stop asking for an absurd amount of 1 million. Not even some some big name stars get that amount. Or fight inoue or cuadras but he is content on fighting guys that have no chance
