No Manny is not so poor on defence, his counterpunching skills are sharp as. Yes he is not Mayweather in this department, he is an offensive boxer and of course takes more risks trying to overwhelm his opponents.

But he does it was such finesse and reflexes that he is by no means as hittable as Hagler, nor does he miss nearly the opportunities to counter.

    That was a biased assessment.

Hagler was good but Manny makes him look like a plodder by comparison.

Lets be real, if you feel he was not a good counterpuncher and didn't have much a defense, you should feel the same about Manny

Neither were the best on defense or counterpunching but they both were adequate
pacquiao is a great counter-puncher, he's up there with any atg with his counter-punching and his defense is alot better than hagler's, alot

i saw you videos and i appreciate them, alot of times he just grindes his teeth and ignores the blows coming at him and does what he wants, there were some counter's, but so few that i can't see how anyone can claim him a good counter-puncher, let alone a great one

Hard for anyone to disagree with that one.

The main reason Hagler was as good as he was, like Holyfield, was because of his very solid chin.

That aside, he was not THAT amazing.

Please don't try to over-glorify a boxer that I really like. guys

The man (Hagler's) accomplishments speak for themselves. He doesn't need any mythology to be great.

I rate Pac slighty higher than Hagler.

I rate Pac as the greatest southpaw boxer of all-time, followed very closely by Sweet Pea, and again veyr closely by Hagler.

Manny's overhyped. He's never had to face anyone like Tommy Hearns or Ray Leonard. Same can be said about Mayweather.

He's smaller than Floyd, so why would he have to??? Floyd is naturally bigger, and his style is suited for higher weight classes.
