Why is there a double standard for Kovalev and Stevenson?

Why are they not defending him in the same obnoxious manner?

    Why the double standard?

What does the move net Kovalev? He fights his mandatory and then what?

No Chavez fight, Bute/Alvarez/Beterbiev are all with GYM, there are a few Europe-based guys in Germany, but that's it. Isaac Chilemba, and that's it.

Stevenson made his move, netted more money than what HBO was willing to pay for the fight, and was looking at having both Hopkins and Pascal as fight options. The big fights didn't work out the way they were expected, but he made the move with a plan in mind.

The move by Main Events, on Kovalev's behalf, literally leads to nothing.

Stevenson took the actions he did in pursuit of bigger money.

Kovalev/Duva are actually waking away from a purse bid (that they themselves asked for!) because they don't want to take big money if it's coming from Al Haymon. How is that smart "binnis?"

Incidentally, the term "binnis decision" is a mockery of black people's speech. We saw a lot of that being thrown around when Stevenson was accused of ducking

Now that Kovalev is ducking where is the mockery of Russian speech? Anybody see anything mean spirited like that going on yet?

      Double standards indeed.

its cause kovelev is white, all the black posters here hate white boxers who are up against a balck fighter for some reason. So their will always be double standards applied to non blacks by blacks posters here.

It's much more of the opposite. Those that don't blame Kovalev at all but did nothing but call Stevenson a coward for the same business bs.

HBO will not allow their fighter to fight on another network/end of thread.

I don't mind Kovalev not fighting Stevenson at this point. Stevenson made him wait long enough now, let Kovalev make him wait now

The only double standard I see is Kovalev fans defending his "business decision" while spending the better part of the last 2 years trolling this forum with hateful, angry, malignant venom towards Stevenson for his own "business decision".

I have more respect for Kovalev because he's fought the better fighters but when you consider each fighter's respective positions, the treatment of Stevenson on this forum by boxing "fans" was really de****able.

Stevenson ran away from Kovalev for better money. Kovalev ran away from Stevenson for less money. Believe it or not, Kovalev is no fool. Duva and HBO are holding him back. He sees this. He will rid himself of this cancer soon.
