    Actually, Hagler had a couple mid-career losses and a draw. He seemed to deal with these really well, because he then dominated at middleweight for nearly a decade, only allowing the Duran fight (and then Leonard) to go to decision.

    So much for armchair Freud.

        Hagler didn't quit immediately after the loss. He wanted to get a rematch with Leonard but he never got it so he just quit boxing because he was tired of waiting Leonard again.
