        Jason Witten

        Receptions: 943

        Receiving TDs: 57

        Antonio Gates

        Receptions: 788
        Receiving yards: 10,014
        Receiving TDs: 99

Both came in the same year, Witten played TE in college (Gates didn't even play football in college).

Look at the stats, Witten has 150+ more catches yet only 450+ more yards and nearly 40 less TD's.....
Touchdowns is not the only stat thay defines success. Witten is a better blocker. He has less yards because he's slow. Ask any NFL analyst and they will tell you Witten is a better all around football player.

Love Gates also though. To me both are hall of famers.

Most analysts would say gates is better.

If you take into account run and pass blocking then Witten is better. As a deep threat and td threat Gates is better. Both are hall of famers. Only Gonzales, Gates, Gronk, and Witten will be the tight ends that stand out from this era.

              Graham will excel in Seattle.

Somewhat related. I remember when Tomlinson walked out with Mosley in his fight with Margarito. I thought, "Margarito is gonna get motherf'n murdered" Too bad he didn't walk with him for his next fight

                And, Gates > Witten

Him and Barry Sanders are TBE when it comes to the RB position. I did not know that LT walked out with Mosely for that fight. When I watch fights on youtube, I skip all the prefight festivities usually.

He most certainly is. I bet you don't even have him in your top 20.
