The Great Antonio Gates is also a Boxing Promoter

One of my Favorite football players ever is also a boxing promoter. Who would have thought that. When he retires from football, will he be more involved in the sport of Boxing.

Set to play his 13th NFL season this fall, the Chargers tight end has embarked on a second career as a boxing promoter to prepare for life after football—and to help young fighters back home in Detroit get on the right track

                Jason Witten

                Receptions: 943
                Receiving yards: 10,502
                Receiving TDs: 57

                Antonio Gates

                Receptions: 788
                Receiving yards: 10,014
                Receiving TDs: 99

Both came in the same year, Witten played TE in college (Gates didn't even play football in college).

Look at the stats, Witten has 150+ more catches yet only 450+ more yards and nearly 40 less TD's.....

Witten was an all pro before Dez came along.

Witten will never catch Gates in the TD category.
