Which means Canelo better win otherwise the middleweight lineage will be broken because we all know Cotto aint fighting GGG unless its at 149 with 16oz gloves and 2 minute rounds
GGG's history is filled with him being shafted by promoters and ducked by fighters. The guy is not going to take step aside money. After a year of being touted as the mandatory challenger for the WBC title, getting hyped by WBC before and after every one of his fights for the past year and a half, he won't step aside. And if WBC forces the matter, I would not be surprised to see Golovkin tell them to take their interim title and shove it.

you are right, anything can happen, but the way i see it is better to have this prearrangement than wait until june for 2 divas to start negotiating and then we may end up with nothing again... if anyone loses , oh well... they could also die tomorrow on a plane crash...

in theory I would agree that he shouldnt take the step aside money. But in reality what difference does it make? Cotto doesnt have the stones to fight him. Not now. Probably not ever. At least if Canelo wins he has a better shot of getting that fight with the middleweight lineage still intact, and a 7 figure step aside fee in his bank account.

why would they fight at 154 when the title would be on the line at 155 or above canelo has been fighting at 155 and cotto was at 155 for Martinez.

uh cotto is fighting geale right now not canelo. where the fu-kk did geale come from? was that an anticipated fight or is cotto just being a coward? even if geale wins then guess what happens? canelo will probably fight geale. this is the same crap that happened at 147 with -spinks-judah-baldomir-floyd and margarito.
