Geale may as well hang around for a few months so GGG can take the belt off his hands to save him the extra baggage fees on the flight home.

Great fight! I see Cotto winning by TKO in the middle rounds. Maybe late if Geale can excape the early assault by Cotto.

I think it's a challenging fight even with the CW. I don't think Geale will struggle with making the weight but, he does have a young man's style...he'll feel great beforehand and will have to hope nothing creeps up on him during the fight, once Cotto starts going to his body. Also, I don't think Cotto will have the same advantages as he did coming from the lower weights against Sergio. I thought Cotto would be markedly faster than Sergio in that fight, but I'm not so sure how that will work in this fight because Geale has cool hand speed and can still move..he is a jackrabbit.

Anyway, this matchup leads me to believe that Cotto is adequately test himself against a campaigning MW so that he can gauge a GGG fight (if Canelo or Floyd are not possible). Once he got the title, I never believed that Cotto would take on an active (even at a CW) unless it was GGG so I'm happy to see that he is, pretty good fight.

I said feet wet. If cotto has a disaster of a time against geale then he will likely vacate. If he whips geale like he did martinez then expect cotto to get In there with ggg.

If Cotto ever gets in the ring with GGG, it's not his feet that will be wet, it'll be his trunks when his bladder lets go.

Not a terrible fight, but disappointing because we want cotto vs canelo or ggg.

Geale is a legit middleweight, and former title holder.. This guy is going to be a live dog for cotto... Cotto 116-112

                  Risk no reward

At this stage of his career he is supposed to cash out big money fights he will say it's a tune up but so was trout. Why risk it all for low payday. He is too stubborn and makes bad decisions sometimes.
