1) did Top Rank only start doing that after the Marquez KO ?

2) as you correctly stated, TR did a great job..... which begs the question, they were successful, so why would they not do the same thing initially to build the fighter up as far as public perception is concerned?

That is like people denying that Margarito cheated in that huge fight with Cotto, despite the fact that he got caught cheating in a lesser fight against Mosley a few months later.

Money talks, and there is something so strange with him living, training, and only fighting in Vegas, coupled with the fact that he does not have the greatest character. 7 arrests for domestic violence, and hes the biggest ego maniac in the world. Cottos best years were at 140 and 147. Cotto had only lost to a cheat, Antonio margarito before pacquiao demolished him at 145. Cotto does not have a big frame, and got smoked at 154 by austin trout. Cotto is too lazy to shed the weight which is why he will also suck at middleweight and may even get best by heiland. Extra weight doesn't help cotto. If it were pure muscle, i would say it probably would help him but in cottos case he doesn't belong at 160 or 154 because his frame just isn't big enough. Just like pavquiao doesn't belong at 154 because his frame simply isn't big enough. Pacquiao probably doesn't even belong at 147. If he went back to 140 he would probably Ko everyone

I'm not saying he should go anywhere else, I'm just saying that it adds to the su****ion. I'm not even saying Floyd bribed anyone, but living, training, and only fighting in Vegas adds some su****ion. If he hasn't bribed anyone which he probably didn't, you don't think him being the hometown guy in every fight has some effect on judges and the nsac? You don't think some things are plausible like covering up drug tests as was accused? I am not a conspiracy theorist by any means, I always laugh when I hear that George bush had something to do with 9/11, however in this case their is just so much coincidence. Why did the NSAc give him a pass for that ShowTime all access video? So what is your point? Pacquiao isn't a 154 lber and said after the margarito fight that he would never go that high again which he hasn't. That's like giving mayweather crap for not going up to 160 to fight ggg. Doesn't make sense, does it? They offered cotto a catch weight and he declined. Pacquiao had already beaten cotto badly and now Manny has to move up to 154 for cotto? That's ridiculous because they could have met in the middle which would have been fair for both, and even especially generous for cotto since he was torn.out the frame by pacquiao already.

The canelo fight had a bad scorecard, but the maidana fight had 2 scores that were really wide in favor of mayweather when the fight really could have gone either way
