1) did Top Rank only start doing that after the Marquez KO ?

2) as you correctly stated, TR did a great job..... which begs the question, they were successful, so why would they not do the same thing initially to build the fighter up as far as public perception is concerned?

That is like people denying that Margarito cheated in that huge fight with Cotto, despite the fact that he got caught cheating in a lesser fight against Mosley a few months later.
